The job

The brief

Orla Wren's autumn collection, shown twice: once on a white stage where nothing can hide, and once two floors underground where almost everything can.

The shoot

Day one on the big stage with a crane and a full lighting build. Day two in a car park with what fitted in one van. The same four looks, the same model, the same lens.

The cut

The film cuts between the two days on matching frames, so a turn that starts in white finishes in the dark. Five vertical edits were framed on set with a second monitor taped up at nine by sixteen.
